Outbox relays

Read each follow from their own write relays (NIP-65) instead of one shared server.

How it works

The app connects to the relays your follows publish to.

  1. Collect. Read your follow list, then each follow's relay list.
  2. Rank. Count how many follows use each relay; the most shared win.
  3. Assign. Each follow gets their most popular relays, up to the limit. Dead relays are skipped.
  4. Fill gaps. Uncovered follows get their own relays; follows with no list use your fallback relays.

Connections

Higher limits add redundancy and more open connections.

Fallback relays0

For follows that publish no relay list, or whose relays are all unreachable. Stays on this device.

  • None. Follows without a relay list are read from your own relays.

Relay authentication

NIP-42 AUTH, for relays that refuse with auth-required. Signing proves to the relay that this connection and IP belong to your key and lets it log what you read; reading without it stays anonymous.

When a relay asks

A toast asks for permission each session and disappears after 5 seconds if you ignore it (stays anonymous).

Relay connections

Every relay the feed opens, and which follows it serves.

Your follows0

Follows without a working connection are listed first.
